Active contact and discussion with living writers in our midst are
necessary to bring students and scholars close to the sources of the creative
process. To that end, a series of graduate seminars, public conferences,
and summer institutes devoted to a reevaluation of Latin American literature,
with the participation of leading writers and critics, is held at Boston
University under the direction of Professor Alicia Borinsky in cooperation
with Harvard and Brown Universities. The program has been made possible
by grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. |
